There is a Lion Living Inside of You!

2025 - 2026 Calendar

Awaken Faith LIFT (Living in Faith Together) is in its 3rd year, of providing safe spaces where women 50+ can share, learn, grow, and experience Christ in everyday life, with new levels of faith. Our mission is to empower women to be who God says they are. This year we are offering: Awaken Faith LIFT – Workbook (combination of all 6 workbooks), and FAITH FORWARD Wellness Tools for Creating Change – A Women’s Three-Point Harmony of Body, Mind, and Spirit. Joining this group is a commitment to attending workshops once a month and doing self-help exercises at home. Registration: Liberty Church App, or email efc.healthwellness@gmail.com. Click the book’s picture for ordering. SEE the discounted pre-pay prices (pickup at Liberty Church), below. Group Leader, Gayle Smith

This workshop takes us through a process of seeing God and His promises above the conditions of life, as our saving grace. This lone action brings life changing awareness for better things and motivation along the journey. Sick and tired of being sick and tired – the methods in this workshop illuminate the possibilities that can become realities through faith.

Saturday, September 20th 2025, in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 1 Reasons.

When life comes hard and heavy, one can look at it as a reason to give up and stay the same, or one can see it as a reason to answer the questions and get involved with change.

Saturday, October 18th,  in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 2 Seeking Solutions in the Storm.

Learning years. The most important aspect of seeking is not found in the external— it requires time, effort, and edification of the internal. We will explore our inner me guide.

Saturday, November 15th, Location TBD, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 3 Discovering the Process.

For each of us, whether it’s size, aging, illness, appearance (hair, skin, teeth), or loneliness, we are destined to find the right mixture of sugar and spice and everything nice that makes us the unique individuals we are.

Saturday, December 20th, in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 4 Building Revitalization.

When the storms are over, they leave behind character growth discovered during the drama, over and above the ruins and devastation they may have caused. Out of the agony of setbacks and uncertainty, nuggets of light can be found, and that light leads the way into a deeper self.

Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 5 Living Peace.

Each of us must choose what life means to us. Whether you see your health and wellness in terms of a journey, or just living a more meaningful and content life – what stands out is the need to communicate and respond to our inner core.

Saturday, February 21st, in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 6 Action Plans.

Life is a plan whether you contribute to the plan or not! Just think of how society is governed and how your culture/lifestyle fits into it. Immediately, we know that there are numerous things that we cannot control, manufacture, or predict—life happens. Be that as it may, there are still options available to us. Having control is not the problem; not having a response to life from a place of inner strength is the problem.

Saturday, March 21st, Location TBD, 10:00am – 1:00pm, Topic: Recognition of Important Women Today.

This month is a time to recognize women who have made a contribution to history, or have made significant impacts on life in today’s world. Each member is asked to do a presentation on a woman you feel is important to you or society. The format will be discussed at a prior meeting. Both groups will meet in one location for this project.

Saturday, April 18th, in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 7 Your Wellness Edge.

A well-informed self is the beginning of a healthy self. This section is packed with research, a combination of medical and health information, spiritual insights, and comments that are intended to arm you with a large resource of alternatives.

Saturday, May 16th, in the Meeting Room, 9:30am – 11:30pm, Reading: Chapter 8 Finale.

What really happened was that I figured out that life is not about what I do, it is about being who I am first. Knowing God helped me see who He made me to be, and then doing that which is according to His plan is the true essence of a life—plus-sized or not.

I do what I do because of who I am.

It is not what I do that makes me who I am.

In this workshop we will learn to apply gospel teachings to everyday life. With the action of our faith, we can approach life step-by-step—in good and hard times—toward confident victory. Faith is about prayer, hope, love, trust, forgiveness, peace, and the joy of a heart turned toward God. Our focus: steps ordered by spirit, mind, and body connections.

Saturday, September 20th 2025, in the Meeting Room, 12:00pm-2:00pm. Workbook 1 Spirit-Lead Actions.

We will explore actions that favor the Holy Spirit. It is in our soul – the mind, will, and emotions – where our Spirit must do the work of change through the faith zone. Prayer, Worship, Revelation, and Spiritual Fruit are our defense.

Saturday, October 18th, in the Meeting, Room 12:00pm-2:00pm. Workbook 2 Spirit-Led Actions and The Body.

We are made in His image. There was a precedence invoked concerning man. Our bodies are containers for God’s glory, well suited to perform (walk in) the purpose He has placed on the inside of us.

Saturday, November 15th, in the Meeting Room, 12:00pm-2:00pm. Workbook 3 Spirit-Led Actions, The Mind and Emotions

God gave us emotions, and He knows what we feel. We can rely on our emotions to assist us through life, we just cannot allow them to be in control or to override the truth of the Word. Even a good thing can become a spiritual hindrance when taken out of the context of God’s individualized purpose.

Saturday, December 20th, in the Meeting Room, 12:00pm-2:00pm. Workbook 4 God’s Heart.

We are drawn closer to God as we discover His Heart of Faith, Hope, Love, Compassion, Sacrifice, and Redemption. The Bible enables us to have Heart-to-heart encounters with our Father.

Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the Meeting Room, 12:00pm-2:00pm in the Meeting Room, Workbook 5 Part 1, Seasons of Change.

If handling change were something that we just did with an easy automatic action, there would be no need to learn new strategies or incorporate faith methods into our actions of change. But change is complicated. Is it at all possible that faith can get lost or be hidden when it comes to change?

Saturday, February 21st, in the Meeting Room, 12:00pm 2:00pm. Workbook 5 Part 2, Seasons of Change.

Faithing our change. We need approaches for moving on, and maintaining success developed. At the moment that goals are met and transformation can be measured, a method to stay on course should be partially defined. We will look in detail at the “moving on” part of our journey.

Saturday, March 21st, Location TBD, 10:00am -1:00pm Recognition of Important Women Today.

This month is a time to recognize women who have made a contribution to history, or have made significant impacts on life in today’s world. Each member is asked to do a presentation on a woman you feel is important to you or society. The format will be discussed at a prior meeting. Both groups will meet together in one location for this project.

Saturday, April 18th, in the Meeting Room,12:00pm-2:00pm  Workbook 6 In Light of the Cross.

Ultimately, Jesus’ greatest work was on the cross! The idea that He was born to die boggles the mind. The idea that God orchestrated the sins of the world, from the beginning of life on earth to eternity, to fall on Jesus’ shoulders, borders on ludicrous. Which then manifests into sheer genius! The sins of the world taken care of by One, a one and done.

Saturday, May 16th, in the Meeting Room, 12:00pm-2:00pm. Topic: The Walk of Faith Page 27 – Prayer, Page 28-30 – It’s A Mind Thing (PDF of materials will be emailed before workshop).

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 NIV

Our mind dwells in the spiritual realm, uses its senses to interrupt its environment, and— most of the time—sides with our free will…and that doesn’t always choose well. Our spirit must calm the war within us and make the mind and body cooperate according to God’s will.

And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. (Luke 13:12 ASV)

But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.       (Jeremiah 17:7NLT)

She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.”                                    (Proverbs 31:25 NLT)

Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually]. (3 John 2 AMP)

                 Awaken Faith LIFT’s Goals

To plant seeds that connect a women’s essence of body, mind and spirit at this age/stage of life with Jesus. To reinforce the cycle of faith – hope – prayer – trusting God – and walking while we wait. To build long term associations with women after the conference ends.

                    As We Faith Forward

Let us form a broader sense of community – caring, learning and sharing together. Let us challenge any negative person, place or thing, that would block excelling with God. Let us grow in spiritual awareness, and redefine our self-esteem from the inside-out.

Let's Talk

We are a safe space for non-judgmental, caring exchanges among us women. This month, Gayle Smith, Christian Life Coach for Women, will open with a topic: The Eyes of Hope.

Today is the day that the Lord has made – we can greet it with joy and gladness, or with discouragement and despair – hope tells the tale. All that hope does is to imply a little certainty, and otherwise suggests confidence or assurance in the possibility that what one desires or longs for will happen. Hope is that feeling of expectation and desire. With all that is going on in the world, in our communities, and in our house – how does hope look and can it reign?

Come join us, we’ll discuss what’s on your mind or in your heart about our topic. If you crave support, desire to be heard, or just want to clear pesky particles from your brain, we’re waiting for you!
