Awaken Faith LIFT Workshop Calendar
Awaken Faith LIFT is a Women’s Small-Group Study Series. Its purpose is to equip and encourage faith connections that enhance spiritual growth in Christ. Our faith walk helps us learn how to allow the Holy Spirit to guide the path of our spiritual awareness, redefining our self-worth from the inside out (according to God’s view and not the world’s view).
We determine what happens to our faith. Since life does not come in a box, wrapped with a neat bow, we must constantly honor Jesus with our faith. In good times, in hard times, in expected times, and in times of surprise… all the time, our focus is to be towards God.

It is in our soul – the mind, will, and emotions – where our Spirit must do the work of change through the faith zone. Prayer, Worship, Revelation, and Spiritual Fruit are our defense. | |

Our bodies are containers for God’s glory, well suited to perform (walk in) the purpose He has placed on the inside of us. | |
Saturday, December 14th 10:00am – 12:00pm, in the Café, Topic: Workbook 3 Spirit-Led Actions The Mind and Emotions. Assistant, Brenda Perry. | God gave us emotions, and He knows what we feel. We can rely on our emotions to assist us through life, we just cannot allow them to be in control or to override the truth of the Word. Even a good thing can become a spiritual hindrance when taken out of the context of God’s individualized purpose. | |
Saturday, January 18th 2025 10:00am – 12:30pm, in the Meeting Room. Topic: Declarations for a New Year. Assistant, Paulette Ford. | A new year doesn’t just happen all by its self. It’s what we bring to the year that makes the difference. This Women’s Circle will create declarations for 2025. Then we will make “vision boards” with a theme – they will represent the scriptures that match what we desire for the New Year. Please bring a pair of scissors and a glue stick. If you have magazines, you can bring those too. Poster board will be provided, light refreshments served. | |

Saturday, March 15th 10:00am – 12:00pm, in the Café, Topic: Workbook 5 Seasons of Change. | If handling change were something that we just did with an easy automatic action, there would be no need to learn new strategies or incorporate faith methods into our actions of change. But change is complicated. Is it at all possible that faith can get lost or be hidden when it comes to change? | |
Saturday, April 19th 10:00am – 12:00pm, in the Café, Topic: Workbook 6 In Light of the Cross. | Ultimately, Jesus’ greatest work was on the cross! The idea that He was born to die boggles the mind. The idea that God orchestrated the sins of the world, from the beginning of life on earth to eternity, to fall on Jesus’ shoulders, borders on ludicrous. Which then manifests into sheer genius! The sins of the world taken care of by One, a one and done. |

Awaken Faith LIFT’s Goals
To plant seeds that connect a women’s essence of body, mind and spirit at this age/stage of life with Jesus. To reinforce the cycle of faith – hope – prayer – trusting God – and walking while we wait. To build long term associations with women after the conference ends.
As We Faith Forward
Let us form a broader sense of community – caring, learning and sharing together. Let us challenge any negative person, place or thing, that would block excelling with God. Let us grow in spiritual awareness, and redefine our self-esteem from the inside-out.

March 16th, 10:00 am –12:00 pm | The Cross | Resurrection Sunday! Something died on Friday and something came alive on Sunday. We will create a time line of our own personal journey, as it relates to what the Cross represents for us. |
| April 20th, 10;00 am – 12:00 pm | The Faith Fight | The enemy seeks to render our faith knell and void. We will take inventory of the inner me to uncover illusions against our faith. |
May 18th, 10:00 am –12:00 pm | About Pentecost Sunday | 50 days after Resurrection Sunday, we recall how the Holy Spirit was given to the disciples after Jesus’ ascension; empowering them to begin the work of making disciples of all nations. Our group will explore and share what this means for us today. |
June 15th, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm | Nurturing From Within | Women’s Faith Conference Nurture Body & Soul – Edify the Mind – Comfort the Heart. This event will promote spiritual peace, and strong voices (there’s a lion inside of us), that revel faith in action. It will support 55+ women in being healthy, and whole, living our lives through Christ. Join us at Family Church in the Teen Room. You can expect faith, fun, food, speakers, and a gift. July 28th 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm | Reflection Sunday | This group has been discussing the faithfulness of God in how He enables us to live each day in faith. We have touched on topics about many things that are important and relevant to women 55+. Today, let’s gather to share how we’ve grown and to suggest topics or activities for the next semester in September. Join us in the Meeting Room after Church, refreshments will be served, please RSVP. |
